Vervelles are used for the attachment of aventails to the helmet. Our new style is turned out in brass with a threaded shank that accepts a 10/32 nut. Simply insert it into the helmet, put a little LokTite on the threads and tighten them down. Snip off the extra bit and you are finished. Requires a 3/16 hole.
